Erin Victor completed her Master’s in Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia and an Honours Bachelor in Health from Queens University. She is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists (COTO) and is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT). Erin has worked on the general surgery unit at Vancouver General Hospital and on the spinal cord injury unit and neuromuscular skeletal unit at G.F. Strong in Vancouver. She completed a 7 week placement at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and found this to be very rewarding. When looking into the next steps she found pediatrics to be where her passion was.
Erin enjoys working with this diverse population of pediatrics to assist them to develop their functional skills, fullest potential and achieve their individualized goals. In each session functional activities, play skills and sensory experiences are used to provide fun and engaging opportunities to allow the child to work towards their independence and achieve meaningful tasks.
Erin’s practice targets several treatment strategies such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, pre-printing skills, handwriting skills, emotional regulation, posture and core work, visual perceptual skills, sensory regulation, equipment needs, activities of daily living (ADLs). Erin has completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and uses many aspects of this in her practice with her pediatric clients.
