Occupational Therapy Assistant
Courtney Auer-Weatherell is internationally trained, with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Human Kinetics, minor in Psychology at St. Francis Xavier University (Nova Scotia). She is currently engaged in the licencing process, with the expectation of being a registered Occupational Therapist in Ontario before the end of this year. She is currently a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT).
Courtney joins Lori’s team in the interim position of Occupational Therapy Assistant, closely supervised by Lori, while she completes the licencing process.
Having a younger sister with a severe disability called Dravet Syndrome, Courtney always had a desire to work with children and OT was the right fit; embodying the perfect balance of utilizing science and art. In her final placement before graduating, working with children truly fostered her love for working in pediatrics and the impact she can make on not only a child’s life but the family’s as well. She believes that every child should have the equal to opportunity heal, grow, and learn.
