About Victor

Victor-Olivier Courchesne
Occupational Therapist

Victor-Olivier Courchesne completed his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Laurentian University in Sudbury. During his years of training in Occupational Therapy, Victor had the opportunity to complete two placements in a pediatric setting and developed a passion for working with children of all ages. Victor is currently a member of the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario as well as a member of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec.

Since graduating, he has worked in child development for the public sector in Quebec and is now currently employed by the Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est working in schools to help children develop the skills needed for academic success as well as with children with autism, complex and intellectual disabilities, and diverse needs to promote regulation and well-being. Originally from Quebec, French is Victor’s first language, but he is still open to working with English speaking clients.

Victor was drawn to Occupational Therapy after two years of working alongside and discussing with an occupational therapist. That’s when he realized the versatility of the profession and the impact it can have on people. He then decided to return to school to explore this career path, and it was during this time that he truly developed a passion for helping others through a holistic client-centered approach. Helping children grow and develop their abilities and independence is truly rewarding.

Outside of work, Victor is an avid sports fan having played junior and University hockey during his time at Laurentian University. He now enjoys playing golf, tennis and pickleball on his free time as well as going to the gym, running and spending time with friends and family.

He really looks forward to collaborating with you to promote you child’s autonomy and well-being through fun and varied but impactful activities.
